Information overload

"First, you must separate facts from mere information. Second, you must separate facts into two classes - the important and the unimportant." - Napoleon Hill success scroll 10.

The internet is such a trove of information that we often spent more time gathering information than processing them. There is a danger that the information gathering process becomes the end itself. It is fun learning new information. One of my favourite is random browsing the wikipedia.

Because information gathering is fun and processing is hard work, we tend to delay as much as possible. It is critical to know when to stop looking and start working.
